Communication Skills

  • I have published hundreds of articles and photographs for newspapers, blogs, and magazines which required initiative, adaptability and calculated time management.
  • While working as a multimedia journalist I reported and photographed community events to produce more than 10 stories a week.
  • Working for more than a year as a media analyst for the Pricy Council Office in Ottawa, I produced high-quality, web-based content on a tight deadline and responded professionally to product requests from senior government officials on behalf of the Media Centre department.

 

Technical Skills                                                                 

  • Proven experience with InDesign, Audacity, Adobe Audition and Photoshop, Avid NewsCutter, Final Cut Pro, YouTube, Soundslides and web content management systems on both Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Took television and radio courses in university during which I produced numerous clippings, available upon request.
  • Shot professionally for Ziptrek Ecotours, using a Cannon 50/40/30D SLR camera, earning staff award Rookie photographer of the year.

 

Research Skills

  • Four years plus of experience researching for academic papers and journalistic ventures.
  • Familiarity and competence with both online and library research methods.
